Twin Horizons Travel was selected by the Family Business
Center and Business First newspaper as one of the best family run
businesses in the city of Columbus in 2006.
At the awards ceremony,
the Family Business Center representative announced:
"The winner
of the Family Business of the Year in the under 25 employees category
is:
Twin Horizons Travel. Surely everyone in Columbus knows this
dynamic duo from articles in the Dispatch, features in magazines,
interviews on TV and as guests on radio talk shows. When it comes
to travel planning, these sisters are the experts everyone asks.
After managing competing travel agencies, the twins left their
respective employers in 1989 to open Twin Horizons Travel. They
learned much of their business acumen and ethics from their father,
who also was a business owner. Now their parents are employees
of theirs. The twins also seek input from their two brothers
who guide them on marketing issues and critique their business
from the hospitality professional’s viewpoint. ….
The company was named on of the best places to work by CEO Magazine.
Please help me congratulate the Family Business of the Year in
our under 25 employees category: Robin Schneider and Susan Schneider
of Twin Horizons Travel.”
